Canned Peach Cobbler Recipe Anytime

1 can of sliced peaches

½ cup of butter

2 cups of flour

2 cups of milk

2 cups of white sugar

2 tsps of vanilla extract

1 tsp of cinnamon

1 tsp of nutmeg

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Pour melted butter into the 13-inch by 9-inch baking dish, set aside.

Prepare the mixture for crust and toppings by mixing the flour, sugar, and milk in a mixing bowl.

Pour ¾ crust mixture into the baking dish prepared earlier. The mixture is not consistent as regular dough, but crumbles. Press down the mixture lightly in the baking dish as preparation for the peach filling.

Lay the peaches over the crust some juice from can. Never mix them with the crust. Sprinkle the cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar over the peaches. The toppings can be varied in amount depending on the desired taste.

Add the rest of the flour/sugar/milk mixture at the top of the peaches and smoothen evenly to cover.

Place in oven and baked for 25 – 30 minutes or until the peach cobbler is nicely brown, and toothpick when inserted comes out clean.
